1. Art 64: Live Painting Tournament

Art lovers can see brand new creations come to life in real time at ART 64, a bracket-style live painting tournament. Attendees will be able to stroll through Tosa Village to find 64 artists painting their new masterpieces and vote for their favorites. The competition takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday and from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. The tournament also features live music and food from local restaurants.
2. Small Town Wisconsin theatrical premiere
FRIDAY AT 7:30 PM | ORIENTAL THEATER
The award-winning dramedy about a father-son road trip from rural Wisconsin to Milwaukee is making its way to the big screen in his favorite city. Participants can meet the cast and crew of the film. Grab a bag of popcorn and get ready for some quality Midwestern humor.

3. Author event for The Milwaukeean: A Story of Tragedy and Triumph

The traumas and joys of growing up in Milwaukee are explored in The Milwaukeean. Joey Grihalva and Kellen ‘Klassik’ Abston will visit the bookstore to chat and sign their new book and answer questions. Although the event is free, participants must register in advance to reserve their place.
4. Walker’s Point pop-up market

What’s up with the food trucks and the music? A pop-up vintage market. Shoppers can browse products from more than 30 vendors and manufacturers at Walker’s Point’s first-ever pop-up market.
5. Hops and dogs

Upgrade your weekend walk with your dog by heading to Hops & Hounds. This free East Side outlet will host more than two dozen performers and vendors, live music, henna tattoos, food, drink and more. There will also be passports available for purchase that will get you 15 adult drink samples for $20. All proceeds will go to the Dogtopia Foundation.
6. Blonde beer and friends

Sure, you’ve been to beer festivals, but have you ever been to a blond beer festival? This event, the first face-to-face since the outstanding festival in 2019, highlights the range of the world’s most beloved beer family. There will be big bocks and dark dunkels, but plenty of the beers are flowing will be light and refreshing. More than 20 breweries will be in attendance, including many from out of state that don’t normally sell beer in Wisconsin.

This is not a BYOB (bring your own bagpipes) event. Bagpipes and other traditional Scottish music will be offered. Attendees can watch archery, cricket, highland dancing and more. Children 12 and under are free and adult tickets are $10.
8. The Masked Singer

The hit show’s national tour stops in Milwaukee with the promise of a mystery new celebrity revealed. Fan favorites and new acts will perform. Tickets are available on line.
9. MotoAmerica Superbike Series & Vintage MotoFest

The weekend-long festival gives enthusiasts the opportunity to learn how to ride different motorcycles. Fans can even camp at nearby sites to extend the fun. If you wish to participate yourself, you can enter your motorbike upon arrival on Saturday morning between 9 and 11 a.m. or pre-register on line.

Pride returns to Milwaukee with a bang this summer. Several drag shows, comedies and musicians are included in the program. Lady Gaga fans will enjoy a musical tribute to the musician. Attendees can purchase a one-day pass or a three-day pass.

11. John Caparulo at Laughing Tap

Comedian John “Cap” Caparulo, who has written for Showtime, ABC, Netfilx and Disney, is launching a five-show series at the local comedy bar. Expect laughs and beer. Tickets are $30.
