Kintex and Artix devices may require more than 11 power rails. AnDAPT WebAmP RD software tool (reference design)
AnDAPT has created an intuitive software tool, WebAmp RD, to provide out-of-the-box PMIC solutions with optimal flexibility. These solutions are based on Xilinx FPGA family device references and use cases that have been defined by Xilinx. Users can use these PMIC solutions as is or change the sequencing of the rails, revise the output voltages, change the maximum current per rail, or deactivate unused rails as needed. WebAmp RD provides all the necessary design documentation, including design files, reference drawings, datasheets, parts lists, and layout guides. If additional functionality is desired, such as system rails or glue logic, the generated design files can be used on AnDAPT’s WebAmP software tool for further modifications.
EtADAPT Power Management solutions
The AmP IC uses a compact 5mm x 5mm package and a high level of integration to provide a top notch system power solution. Each PMIC integrates a single-phase and two-phase DrMOS controller (up to 70 A), several step-down converters (10 A / 6 A), high current LDOs (up to 2 A), load switches (LDSW), four General purpose LDO (200mA) and power supply management functions, including fault protection and sequencing.
These PMIC solutions are available on the “PMIC Design Reference” on the AnDAPT website. The designs allow the designer to choose a solution in a remarkably simple way and get it up and running in minutes for evaluation. Additionally, the WebAmP RD tool allows designers to rapidly scale a solution both up and down based on design requirements. Additionally, these reference designs can be used in the WebAmP tool for further customization, including the addition of other system rails.
