Benelli is expected to launch the TRK 700 adventure bike soon

In October 2020, Benelli, a Chinese manufacturer of Italian-designed motorcycles entered the North American market. With one of his most popular bikes, the TRK 502 adventure bike, enjoying relatively successful sales, he began to expand his model line in the United States to include models such as Leoncino and Leoncino Trail. Meanwhile, across the Atlantic in Europe, Benelli continues to achieve impressive sales, especially for the TRK 502.

At one point, the TRK 502 was selling so well that it even sold more than the BMW R 1250 GS in Italy. In June 2021, the midsize ADV also smashed its entire 2020 revenue in just six months. With the popularity of the TRK 502 now a certainty, it looks like Benelli has pulled the trigger on a bigger, better and more capable TRK. The TRK 700 has surfaced in homologation papers in China, by Chinese owner of Benelli, QJ Motor. The launch of the new 700cc adventure bike is certainly timely, as the class of 650cc to 900cc adventure bikes is certainly where all the hype is right now.

With new and exciting ADVs from young and old alike hitting the market left and right, the Benelli TRK 700 will certainly have its work cut out for it, especially against the Yamaha Ténéré 700, Aprilia Tuareg 660 and even the CFMoto 800MT. From the start, the Benelli TRK 700 will clearly sport some improvements over its 500cc stable mate. For starters, we see slight improvements in the chassis, with the swingarm now being constructed from aluminum, as opposed to the tubular steel swingarm on the TRK 502. The overall styling, however, is clearly similar, with an angular body, a visor. -High breeze and split LED headlights.

Underneath the classic ADV styling is a 693cc parallel twin engine rated at a respectable 76 horsepower. This is more than likely the same engine found in the QJ Motor SRG 700 that was unveiled last year. The Benelli TRK 700 is expected to be available in two variants, just like its little brother. For one thing, the standard TRK 700 will likely feature alloy rims with more road-oriented rubber. Meanwhile, the TRK 700 X is expected to feature more off-road-ready metal wire wheels with dual-purpose rubber. Granted, we can expect to hear more about this bike, as well as other Benelli models coming to the EICMA later this year.
