Honda India Foundation boosts commitment to skills development in Haryana
With Haryana’s fourth center in Uchana, Honda Skill Enhancement Centers are now at 49 in 19 states, equipped with state-of-the-art training facilities, center to provide hands-on training on maintenance and two-wheeler repair
Uchana: Committed to Skill India Mission, Honda India Foundation (the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of all Honda Group companies in India) in association with the government’s Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Uchana Khurd today inaugurated the new Skill Enhancement Center building in Uchana. Spread over 1,200 square feet, the new operational center from today will allow young locals to benefit from technical training focused on employment in the city.
The center was inaugurated by Sh. Dushyant Chautala – Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Haryana in the august presence of Sh. Amarjeet Dhanda (Member of Legislative Assembly, Julana), Sh. Ramniwas Surjakheda (Member of the Legislative Assembly, Narwana), Sh. Manoj Kumar (IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Jind), Sh. Rajesh Khoth (Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Jind), Sh. Ravinder Chahal (Principal, ITI Uchana Khurd), Sh. Saibal Maitra ( Vice President – Corporate Social Responsibility, HMSI), Sh. Sharad Pradhan (General Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, HMSI), Sh. Rajnish Charandas Mittal (Deputy General Manager, Customer Service Technology & Customer Relations, HMSI) and other dignitaries from Haryana government and HMSI.
Speaking at the inauguration, Dushyant Chautala – Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Haryana said, “I thank all Uchana representatives and the young trainers associated with the Skill Enhancement Center for this development. I express my gratitude to Honda management for qualifying and providing their latest two-wheelers for hands-on maintenance and repair training. I am also happy to share that the first 20 vacancies for Uchana Center have been filled from day one and more students are keen to join this program. I am convinced that such training will improve the techniques of our young locals and make them more efficient with all the latest technologies, including the recent BSVI engines.

The Honda India Foundation Skills Enhancement Center at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Uchana Khurd has a fully functional workshop with two-wheelers, service infrastructure and the latest tools and technology which provide hands-on training for students in the technical aspects of servicing and maintaining two-wheelers. repair and provides them with recruitment opportunities at two-wheeler dealerships across India.
