Alliance Live6 launches the Inaugural Home (Base) for the Holidays Marketplace presented by Huntington Bank

DETROIT – With small business development among its key priorities, the Live6 Alliance, the strong community development organization in Northwest Detroit, announces the launch of Home (Base) for the Holidays – A Live6 Marketplace presented by Huntington Bank. This market will be held on Fridays and Saturdays starting November 26-27 at its Neighborhood HomeBase headquarters located at 7426 West McNichols in Detroit. The Pop-Up Vacation Shop offers residents and visitors the opportunity to support small businesses in the Detroit area that may not have traditional brick and mortar locations.

Some of the companies you can shop with are:

• Marie’s Memories Bakery LLC with baked goods made from scratch.

• Hair Heart Home for hair care products.

• Nissy’s Fabulous Fashions for handcrafted jewelry.

• Detroit Denim Co. for custom handmade jeans.

• Jungle Gem Enterprise for crystals, incense, and spiritual jewelry.

• Accelerate4Kids for youth development and education.

• Sankofa passport with African exports, antiques, pearls and textiles.

• Olivia Indigo with abstract art.

• Paradise Natural Foods for plant-based foods and desserts.

• Konjo Me Authentic Ethiopian cuisine for spices, coffee and food.

• African herbswoman for natural herbs.

• SanDees for women’s crochet fashion.

• Detroit Book City with new releases of Kwanzaa books, magazines and accessories on select dates.

Other companies will participate in the coming weeks.

The The market will be open for purchases on Fridays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.. from November 26 to December 18. Throughout the duration of the market there will also be pop-up activities for children from partners in the region. The best DJs in the area will add great music to the shopping experience.
