MV Agusta to debut at ComplexCon 2021
As we’ve said before and probably will say it again, runners are everywhere. We have all kinds of professions, have all kinds of interests, and generally love all kinds of things. Yet like any good niche, we’re always looking to tell more people about our favorite thing. Law? Law.
For a long time, OEMs have been talking about how to get the attention of new drivers. Lately we’ve seen a lot more collaborations with streetwear designers, from Vespa x Sean Wotherspoon to Piaggio x Feng Chen Wang. Now MV Agusta is joining the fun, albeit in a slightly different way. For the first time ever, MV will be at ComplexCon in 2021, which takes place November 6-7 in Long Beach, Calif.
MV collaborated with the architecture and design firm Crosby Studios for an exhibition called, very simply, The Garage. Crosby’s founder and lead designer Harry Nuriev created the project using his gray and white checkerboard pattern extensively. Inside Nuriev’s garage you will find a custom MV Agusta F3 as well as an MV Agusta AMO RC electric bike.
âFor me, a garage is the symbol of a workshop – a place that gives birth to new ideas and allows designers to escape reality,â Nuriev said in a statement.
âA garage also brings back a lot of childhood memories to me, when I used my family’s garage as a DIY workshop. I always challenge myself to find different avenues to express my design – this time it’s through motorcycles. I am really fascinated by the sleek, sexy shape and design of a motorcycle, and I am delighted to be working with MV Agusta to work with this new medium, âhe concluded.
âMV Agusta is growing in popularity in the United States and is seen as a true design icon among the millennials who make up the majority of ComplexCon crowds,â added MV Agusta CEO Timur Sardarov.
âWe are constantly exploring new ways to be meaningful and relevant to this very important segment, and ComplexCon offers our brand a perfect opportunity to connect and communicate in a unique way. Harry Nuriev’s work took design and function even further, entering the dimension of art and emotions – a concept that strongly resonates with the Motorcycle Art spirit of MV Agusta. We are delighted to be part of this year’s event as the centerpiece of Harry Nuriev’s brilliant installation, and we couldn’t ask for a better debut and better partner. We look forward to making our mark at ComplexCon 2021, âconcluded Sardarov.
