New Florida Motorcycle Rally roars in Tallahassee
TALLAHASSEE, Florida., February 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Tallahassee, the only city in Florida with its rolling hills and famous canopy roads, hosts its first annual motorcycle rally on May 13-15, 2022. Tallahassee Bike Fest is perfect for bikers looking for a unique and exciting biking experience you won’t find anywhere else in the sunshine state. This promising motorcycle rally will be presented in the city center Tallahassee area nicknamed Railroad Square Art District.
The mission of Tallahassee Bike Fest is to provide an exciting environment for new riders, experienced riders and their families, and of course, all bikes are welcome! “We don’t care if you ride three or two wheels, or sport, metric or baggers,” says Tallahassee Bike Fest founder Giavona “G” Williams. “We just want every cyclist to come and enjoy what our beautiful city has to offer. There’s A LOT to explore to keep your schedule busy!”
As soon as you enter “Tally”, its popular nickname, you will feel like you are no longer in Florida but rather somewhere to the north. Traditionally, Florida is characterized by sandy shores, palm-lined streets and warm winters. However, in Tallahassee, you can enjoy alternative landscapes. It is the ideal place to explore the many natural parks, trails, reserves and springs scattered throughout the region. And yes the beaches are only a short drive away if you are looking for that as well.
The historic Railroad Square Art District will host the main area of the Tallahassee Bike Fest. It is a WWII-era industrial warehouse park transformed into an urban arts district and includes a 10-acre haven with over 70 shops, galleries and small businesses. At May 13-15, 2022, Railroad Square will host festival vendors, motorcycle games, entertainment and more. Other features of Bike Fest include rides mapped in partnership with REVER, women-focused events, and a kids’ corner with hands-on activities for aspiring cyclists.
G Williams acknowledges that Tallahassee needs a festival like this, and she’s delighted that it has already generated so much excitement. Tallahassee continues to grow as a city and is home to many attractions, breweries, bars, shops and an eclectic food scene. Moreover, many members of the regional motorcycling community agree that this festival must take place because Tallahassee is a hidden gem for engaging driving. Based on the reach of the festival so far and local data, G expects to host around 2,500-3,500 runners for their first year.
“We are proud to organize a motorcycle rally for a purpose that benefits local charities across the Tallahassee “, says founder G Williams. “We look forward to sharing our roads and our city with our fellow cyclists in May.”
