Obituary by Michael McCormack (1955 – 2021) – Broussard, LA

Funeral services for Michael Kenneth McCormack will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at the Louisiana Funeral and Crematorium Chapel, 108 Hardware Road, Broussard, LA. The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Mr. McCormack will be buried in the cemetery of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lafayette (Milton), LA. Michael Kenneth McCormack of Clarence, LA passed away on Sunday August 29, 2021 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Michael McCormack was born in Germany on April 15, 1955, he was adopted by Robert Keith McCormick and Shirley Ann Deck McCormack. Michael enjoyed fishing, working on his hot rod car project, and spending time with his grandchildren. He had a dog named Van that he took everywhere with him. His favorite music was ACDC alternative rock Tom Petty and Phil Collins, to name a few. Michael found great serenity in portraits of wolves and Indians and in scientific comments. Michael is survived by his four stepchildren whom he dearly loved Julie Sheffield, Theresa Duhon, Joe Duhon and Mary Hidalgo; step-grandchildren Colley McLendon Jr., Avery Foreman, Robbi Foreman Jenni Dumisnill, Gregory Jones, Jude and Jacob Hidalgo, Danielle Stoutes and Tabitha Primeaux; step-great-grandchildren Gage McLendon, Liam Primeaux, Eli Primeaux, Caylee Gurdy, Eli Hidalgo Taylor and Collin Stoutes and Laila and Olivia Hidalgo and many longtime friends. Those who will share the honor as bearers will be Jude Hidalgo, Jacob Hidalgo, Avery Foreman, Mike Duhon, T-Joe Duhon and Travis Duhon. Michael was predeceased by his mother Shirley Ann Deck McCormack; his brother Mark McCormack and his stepson Robert “Bobby” Broussard.
