Smoke rises in the Stoke-on-Trent night sky as firefighters tackle the motorcycle blaze

Firefighters were called on a motorcycle that caught fire this evening.

A crew witnessed the incident at Bur Tree Drive in Norton Heights after seeing smoke rising into the sky.

The bike had caught fire on a vacant lot.

The alarm was given at 7:48 p.m. The firefighters left the scene at 8:27 p.m.

The Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed crews had been dispatched on “a burning motorbike on a vacant lot”.

An investigation is currently underway to try to determine the cause of the fire.
