Warm up your engines for the Show N Shine auto show at Quinault Beach Resort & Casino
WWhat could be better than a weekend of noisy engines, chrome and silver? Nothing! So be sure to go to the annual meeting Show N Shine Auto Show happens at Quinault Beach Resort & Casino at Ocean Shores on October 1-2, 2021. Whether you’ve got a car to show off or just want to see some truly awesome wheels, this is the place to be. Plus, you might get lucky and win big prizes!
Show N Shine is put together by Hoquiam pushers, an automobile club that has existed in Grays Harbor since 1953. The club is entirely dedicated to car enthusiasts, with an emphasis on street racing and racing. The Show N Shine event acts as a fundraiser for the club, with proceeds going to their scholarship fund, as well as other supported charities including Aberdeen High School Auto Shop, The Meals on Wheels Program and Center for domestic violence. Their two scholarships are for students at Grays Harbor College who are interested in automotive and business.

The fun of the weekend kicks off with the Poker Run on October 1st. The race starts at 12 p.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Quinault Beach Resort & Casino, a sponsor of Show N Shine, is the start and end of the race. “Participants make four stops at Ocean Shores to return to QBRC for their last card,” says Tony Halekakis of Push Rods. “They can buy an additional card for $ 1 as well as additional early game forms for $ 1 each. The top prize for the best hand is an overnight stay and dinner at QBRC, the second prize is $ 50.
The Show N Shine auto show is one of the largest in the region, with a large turnout and even bigger prizes! Whether you have a 50s Bel Air, a vintage rat rod, a modern muscle car or a tricked motorcycle, everyone is welcome to Show N Shine! Vintage Vehicle Show star Lance Lambert and on-air radio personality KBFG 107.3 will be the emcee at this year’s Show N Shine. Lambert owned over 45 vintage cars from the 1940s to the 1970s. In 2008, he was inducted into the Washington State Hot Rod Hall of Fame.
You’ll want to spend the night in one of the luxurious rooms at the Quinault Beach Resort & Casino so you can be close to all the action that starts early the next day with the 7 a.m. registration. The rewards are at 3 p.m. There will be 35 awards, including Best of Show; Chosen by Lance; Favorite of CQB; Hard Luck Award (one failure); and 30 pushrod selections including 1930s, 40s, 50s and 60s, best truck, best bike and more. “After the awards ceremony there will be big prizes, car numbers will be chosen for door prizes,” Halekakis said. “Great prizes including big cash prizes, 1 two night stay and dinner at QBRC, 2 cash prizes of $ 500 and up.” In total, there is over $ 3,000 in cash and prizes!
